Ground School
No ground school is “certified” by Transport Canada. What you really need is a letter of recommendation from an instructor that oversaw your ground training. That’s what you’ll get after successfully completing our ground schools.
Transport Canada requires 40 hours of ground school for the Private Pilot Licence and 80 hours of ground school for the Commercial Pilot Licence. These are bare minimums however and you can just go at your own pace.
Passing designated quizzes within the ground school allow us to ensure you’ve met the knowledge required for any given topic. We can then correlate that to an hourly figure.
Yes, it’s how we can ensure you have met the knowledge requirement for the issuance of the record of ground school and letter of recommendation.
Complete the entire ground school and get a score of 80 percent on the practice tests, then a letter of recommendation will automatically be emailed to you along with a record of ground school.
If you are able to successfully complete all the quizzes, you should pass the tests and Transport Canada’s exam no problem. But if you don’t pass, we recommend you go through the training material and try the tests again.

All your progress is saved for one year after your subscription has expired. If you need an extra 5 days or less for some last-minute cramming, send us an email and we’ll gladly extend it. If you need more time, you can purchase the course again.
